Ellena R. McLean (1880-1957) was born in Connecticut and died in North
Haven, Connecticut. She worked as a public school teacher in Connecticut after
graduating from Mount Holyoke College in 1905. Her mother, Martha E. McLean, wrote to
Mary Baker Eddy in 1885, asking for advice on Christian Science treatment through prayer
for Ellena. There is no record of Ellena R. McLean studying with Mary Baker Eddy or
uniting with The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts.
