George T. McLauthlin (1826-1895) was a Boston-based businessman,
inventor, and student of Mary Baker Eddy's, studying with her in June 1876. He founded
Geo. T. McLauthlin Co., a manufacturing and iron working business based at 120 Fulton
Street. Eddy corresponded with McLauthlin until 1877. There is no evidence of him
uniting with Eddy's church or the Christian Scientist Association, her association of
students.
