Laura M. McGavic
Laura M. McGavic (1854-1907) was born in Indiana and died in Burlington,
Iowa. She worked as a music teacher and received her musical education in Italy. McGavic
was a vocalist in various churches located in Keokuk, Iowa, as well as Burlington and
Chicago, Illinois. She married Thomas C. McGavic, a lumberman, in Keokuk in 1875.
Although she expressed an interest in studying with Mary Baker Eddy, there is no record
of her doing so.
