S. Helen Maynard (1846-1905) was born in Sudbury, Massachusetts, and died in Worcester, Massachusetts. She moved to Worcester in the 1850s and was employed as a seamstress. In July 1886 she became a charter member of the Students Christian Scientist Association of Worcester No. 8.
