Nathaniel E. Martin (1855-1927) was born in Loudon, New Hampshire, and died in Concord, New Hampshire. He served as the mayor of Concord in 1899 and 1900. He was admitted to the New Hampshire bar in 1879 and had a career practicing law, also serving terms as the solicitor of Merrimack County and as a New Hampshire state senator from 1914 to 1918. He owned and operated his family's ancestral farm in Loudon and was also involved in lumbering and real estate ventures. He was married in 1902 to Jennie P. Martin (b. Lawrence), and after her death in 1911, to Margaret W. Martin (b. Clough) in 1915. He (unsuccessfully) ran for governor of New Hampshire in 1918.
