Mary P. Marble (1858-1941) was born in Hamilton, Illinois, and died in
Chicago, Illinois. She married Oliver W. Marble, an architect, in 1883. She was the
daughter of Mary Hinds Philbrick, a student of Mary Baker Eddy's who helped with the
growth of Christian Science in Iowa and Illinois. Marble joined The First Church of
Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, on July 3, 1897. She was listed in the
directory of
The Christian Science Journal as a Christian
Science practitioner from 1902 to 1939.
