James P. Magee (1819-1888) was born in Bangor, Northern Ireland, and died in Malden, Massachusetts. In 1851, he helped establish the Methodist Book Depository in Boston, Massachusetts, running the depository until his passing. There is no record of Magee studying with Mary Baker Eddy or joining the Church of Christ (Scientist).
