Mabel G. Long (b. Giles) (1867-1953) was born in New Jersey and died in San Diego, California. In 1890 she married Joseph F. Long, a dredge inspector, in Richmond, Maine. By 1900 they had moved to Portland, Maine, and then to San Diego by 1910. She was the daughter of Mary O. Royal (b. Drake) and her second husband, John R. Giles. Mary O. Royal studied and practiced Christian Science and wrote to Mary Baker Eddy several times in the 1880s.
