Henry Lloyd IV (1822-1892) was born in Lloyd Harbor, New York, and died
in Huntington, New York. Lloyd Harbor was named after his ancestors, who had acquired
the land in the 1650s. Henry IV was the last Lloyd to own this estate. His first cousin
once removed, James Lloyd, was a U.S. Senator from Massachusetts from 1808-1813. Henry
wrote to Mary Baker Eddy in 1885, inquiring about Christian Science.
