L. Blanche Lincoln (1859-1929) was born in Round Grove, Illinois, and died in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She was a musician. In 1886, Mary Hinds Philbrick, a student of Mary Baker Eddy's, stayed in the Lincoln family home in Fort Dodge and gave Blanche Christian Science treatment. Born an invalid, Blanche experienced such improvement under Philbrick's treatment that she and several of her family members began studying Christian Science. Blanche Lincoln joined The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, on September 30, 1893. Her mother, brother, and two sisters became members as well, and her sister Elsie A. Lincoln served as the church's soloist in the 1890s. Blanche Lincoln was listed as a practitioner in Fort Dodge in The Christian Science Journal from 1898 to 1905.
