Edward A. Latimer (1844-1929) was born and died in Connecticut. He was a tax collector and Civil War veteran who served in Company D of the 22nd Connecticut Volunteer Infantry. He wrote to Mary Baker Eddy in early 1885, asking for information about studying at the Massachusetts Metaphysical College.
