Theodore F. Lane (1844-1926) was born and died in Connecticut. He married Julia R. Yale in Meriden, Connecticut, in 1871. Lane served as a musician in Harland's Brigade Band during the Civil War, 1863-1865. He then held accountant and bookkeeping positions with the Meriden Britannia Company, his own bookselling company Theo F. Lane, Newspapers & Magazines as well as the International Silver company and the Home National Bank. He was involved with several organizations for veterans including the Grand Army of the Republic and the Legion of Honor. Lane's connection with Christian Science was through his bookselling company, writing to Mary Baker Eddy several times in regard to orders for her works.
