George D. Lancaster (1830-1903) was born in New Hampshire and died in
Georgetown, Kentucky. He worked as a supplier of dry goods and the proprietor of the
Lancaster Hotel. Lancaster married Malinda J. Stone, a Christian Science practitioner
and student of Mary Baker Eddy's, in 1864. Although his wife was heavily involved in the
Christian Science movement, there is no record of Lancaster studying with Mary Baker
Eddy or joining The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts.
