Emogene Knights (1848-1939) was born in Woodstock, Illinois, and died in Chicago, Illinois. She married Charles H. Knights in 1872. Her father, Thomas Swartwout, wrote to Mary Baker Eddy in 1885 for information on Christian Science treatment through prayer for Knight's daughter. There is no record of Knights studying with Eddy or joining The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts.
