Nora C. (Sprague) Klein (1852-1938) was born in Fabius, New York, and died in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She married William Livingston Klein in Fabius in 1875 while he was employed as a schoolteacher in Avon, New York. They subsequently moved to Woodstock, Illinois, and then to Minneapolis in 1881, by which time William had begun a long and successful career as an editor, publisher, and author. Nora was a close friend of Camilla A. Hanna, who later became a student of Mary Baker Eddy's, and it was Hanna who initially referred the Kleins to Eddy. In May 1886, William wrote a letter to Eddy expressing interest in having Nora go through a class at the Massachusetts Metaphysical College, but there is no record of her doing so. Nora subsequently became a founder of the Trinity Baptist Church in Minneapolis. Based on the records available, we have found no further information concerning her involvement with Christian Science.
