Anna I. Kingsbury (1851-1902) was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and was
an active early member of the Christian Scientist Association, serving as Secretary
during 1877 and early 1878. She was a student of Mary Baker Eddy's, studying with her in
August 1875. She withdrew from the Church in 1882, on the same day as her husband, Henry
N. Kingsbury (1832-1907). The couple spent time living in Bradford and Titusville,
Pennsylvania, and ultimately in Newton, Massachusetts.
