Daniel W. Kimball (1839-1900) was born in Blackstone, Massachusetts, and
died in East Providence, Rhode Island. During the Civil War, he served as a captain in
Company K of the Massachusetts 51st Volunteer Infantry. After the war, he worked as an
insurance agent in Providence, Rhode Island. In 1885, he wrote to Mary Baker Eddy asking
for information on Christian Science.
