Harding A. Kelley (1857-1934) was born in Middleton, Nova Scotia, Canada, and died in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. His family moved to Maine when he was a boy in 1866. He worked as a dry goods merchant and was the second husband of Hortense R. Libby, whom he married in Lynn, Massachusetts, in 1890. The Kelleys took Primary class instruction with Julia E. Prescott, a student of Mary Baker Eddy's. They both joined The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, on June 23, 1903 and were members of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Reading, Massachusetts.
