Harriet W. Jones (1834-1922) was born in Saxtons River, Vermont, and died
in Brookline, Massachusetts. She was a student of Mary Baker Eddy's, taking Primary
(1886) and Normal (1887) class instruction. After studying with Eddy she practiced in
Medway, Massachusetts, before moving to Columbus, Ohio, where she practiced alongside
her sister, Elvira W. Spaulding, at the Columbus, Ohio, Institute of Christian Science.
Jones joined The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, in
December 1892 and was a member until her passing. In 1904 she became a Christian Science
practitioner and teacher listed in the directory of
The Christian
Science Journal and maintained a listing until 1920.
