Percy W. Hurndall (1849-1941) was born in Dursley, Gloucestershire,
England, and died in San Francisco, California. He worked for many years in Los Angeles
and then in San Francisco as a piano tuner. He, along with his wife, Juliet M. Hurndall,
became interested in Christian Science in 1884. The Hurndalls subscribed to early issues
of
The Christian Science
Journal, and despite expressing an interest in Christian Science
treatment through prayer, there is no record of either of them studying with, or being
treated by, Mary Baker Eddy.
