Avilda P. Huntley (b. Munger) (c.1840-1901) was born in Waterford, Connecticut, and died in Meriden, Connecticut. In 1859, she married Philo Huntley Jr., a mariner who later became a sea captain. In 1886, Huntley wrote to Mary Baker Eddy that she and a friend had been healed through Christian Science treatment and requested information about studying at the Massachusetts Metaphysical College.
