Stephen Houghton
Stephen Houghton (1833-1921) was a farmer and lifelong resident of
Londonderry, Vermont. He was a neighbor of Asa and Betsey Smith Eddy, the parents of
Mary Baker Eddy's husband, Asa Gilbert Eddy. Asa Gilbert Eddy was deeded the farm in
1859 and owned it until his death in 1882. Mary Baker Eddy sold the farm to Stephen
Houghton on July 25, 1883.
