Burt R. Holcomb (1838-1899) was born in Granby, Connecticut, and died in Northampton, Massachusetts. For many years he was the proprietor of the Four-Mile House inn, in Westfield, Massachusetts. Although he expressed an interest in Christian Science, there is no record of him studying with Mary Baker Eddy or uniting with the Church of Christ (Scientist).
