John S. Hinkley
John S. Hinkley (1830-1912) was born in Northfield, Vermont, and died in
Chicopee, Massachusetts. He married Ellen S. Woodard in Royalton, Vermont, in 1858 and
worked as a blacksmith. He became interested in Christian Science in 1885, writing to
Mary Baker Eddy to order a copy of Science and Health with Key to the
Scriptures.
