Samuel E. Herrick (1841-1904) was born in Southampton, New York, and died in Boston, Massachusetts. He was a graduate of Amherst College (1859) and Princeton Theological Seminary (1861). He was ordained in 1863 and was pastor of the Congregational church (1864-1871) in Chelsea, Massachusetts, and Mount Vernon Church (1892-1904) in Boston.
