Anna M. Harvey (c.1825-?) was born in New York and died in an unknown
location. She became interested in Christian Science while living in Chicago, Illinois,
studying with Ellen Brown Linscott, a student of Mary Baker Eddy's. Later on, Harvey
studied with Eddy, taking Primary (1886), Normal (1887), and Obstetrics (1888) classes.
She joined the Christian Scientist Association in April 1886 and joined The First
Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, in October 1892. From late 1891
until the spring of 1893, Harvey and her daughter, Carrie Harvey Snider, lived at 385
Commonwealth Avenue in Boston, the former residence of Eddy. After leaving Boston, Anna
Maria Harvey moved to New York City where she worked as a Christian Science practitioner
listed in the directory of
The Christian Science Journal until
1904.
