Ann Eliza "Lisle" Harris (c.1855-1910) was born in New York and died in
Manitou Springs, Colorado. As a child she moved with her family to Ottawa, Illinois, and
then to Avoca, Iowa. She was a dressmaker. Sometime in the mid-1880s she moved to
Colorado, first to Custer County, and finally to Manitou Springs, where she remained for
the rest of her life. In 1886 she wrote to Mary Baker Eddy from the home of her sister,
Mary Jane Kentner (b. Harris), in Westside, Iowa, to inquire about the possibility of
studying Christian Science with her, but the records do not reflect that she did
so.
