Oscar R. Hammond (1858-1896) was born in Troy, Vermont, and died in West
Tonawanda, New York. He was a farmer who spent most of his life in Troy. In April 1878,
he married Jennie M. Burleson, who successfully sued him for divorce in September 1881,
only to remarry him in October 1881. There is no record of Oscar R. Hammond studying
with Mary Baker Eddy or joining the Church.
