Mary E. Gutterson (1846-1917) was born in Mount Vernon, New Hampshire, and died in Lyndeborough, New Hampshire. Although she expressed an interest in Christian Science, there is no record of her studying with Mary Baker Eddy or uniting with the Church of Christ (Scientist).
