Sarah Gregory (b. Barrett) (1832-1907) was born in Harpers Ferry, Virginia, and died in Nevinville, Iowa. Her Quaker parents relocated their family to Peoria County, Illinois, in 1834. There she met Francis Gregory, a farmer, whom she married in 1849. They settled in Whitefield, Illinois, and had eight children. Francis died in 1874, and in 1891 Gregory married Francis's younger brother John Gregory, a tanner, in Valparaiso, Indiana. John died less than a year later. By 1900 Gregory had moved to Center, Indiana, before finally settling in Nevinville. In 1885 Gregory wrote to Mary Baker Eddy to order a copy of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures and a pamphlet.
