Perley Green (1823-1899) was born in Bedford, Massachusetts, and died in
Stoneham, Massachusetts. He worked as a shoemaker. Green was a student of Mary Baker
Eddy's, taking Primary class in October 1882 and joining the Christian Scientist
Association in November 1882. He was endorsed by Mary Baker Eddy for membership in the
National Christian Scientist Association in 1887 and was listed as a member of the
Christian Science Dispensary Association in Boston in 1894. There is no record of him
joining The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts.
