Charles A. Grant (1850-1904) was born in New Haven, Connecticut, and died in Manitou Springs, Colorado. He married Mary J. Strickland in New Haven in 1874. He worked as a post office clerk first in New Haven and then in Manitou Springs, where the Grants moved in about 1882. He also owned a stationery and gift store in Manitou Springs and served as the town clerk for many years. In June 1886 Grant wrote to Mary Baker Eddy to order a copy of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. Based on the records available, we have found no further information concerning his involvement with Christian Science.
