Taylor R. Grandstaff (1859-1934) was born in Missouri and died in Canton, Missouri. He spent most of his life living and traveling between Missouri and California. He worked as a farmer and was an active proponent of the development of good public roads. He married Elizabeth M. Bland in Canton in 1919 and was a member of the Bluff Springs Methodist church for his entire life. Grandstaff wrote to Mary Baker Eddy in 1886, asking for her terms to become an agent for selling Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.
