Calvin O. Gott (1832-1886) was born in Bangor, New York, and died in
Fitchburg, Massachusetts. He was a photographer and then a saloon keeper and served in
the First Massachusetts Volunteer Cavalry Regiment during the Civil War. Despite his
wife, Lucinda, expressing an interest in Christian Science treatment through prayer,
there is no record of him being treated by Mary Baker Eddy.
