Hattie Glaser (b. Bach) (1870-1945) was born in Nashville, Illinois, and died in St. Louis, Missouri. In 1890, she married Sigmund Glaser, a naturalized Austrian who had emigrated in 1875. He imported lace and embroidery, at first independently and then through a business which he established, Sigmund Glaser & Company. In 1886, Glaser wrote to Mary Baker Eddy to inquire about how to study Christian Science.
