Estella E. Gillin (1843-1927) was born in Michigan and died in Glendale, California. She first married Patrick Gillin, who passed away, and later married James N. Piper in 1921. She was a student of George B. Wickersham, who was a student of Mary Baker Eddy's. Along with her son-in-law, David F. Coon, she practiced Christian Science healing through prayer in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Although she expressed an interest in studying at the Massachusetts Metaphysical College, there is no record of her doing so.
