Mary M. Gallup (1839-1912) was born in New York and died in Berkeley, California. She became interested in Christian Science in 1886 and later studied Christian Science with Minnie B. Hall De Soto, a student of Mary Baker Eddy's. She joined The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, in July 1895, and was a member until her passing.
