Joseph W. French (1856-1889) was born in Candia, New Hampshire, and died in Manchester, New Hampshire. Joseph and his wife, Etta, were both students of Mary Baker Eddy's, taking Primary class in 1884. After studying with Eddy, French maintained a healing practice in Manchester, New Hampshire, until his passing. There is no record of him joining the Christian Scientist Association or uniting with the Church of Christ (Scientist).
