Frances A. Fox (1840-1929) was born in New York and died in Ramsey, Minnesota. She was a hotelier who for many years owned and operated the Fox House in Portage, Wisconsin. She ran the hotel alongside her husband, Orville C. Fox, who passed on in 1898, after which she moved to Minnesota to live with her daughter. Frances became interested in Christian Science in 1885, purchasing a copy of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. She later joined The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, on July 3, 1897 and was a member until her passing.
