Eliza C. Foster (1835-1906) was born in Highgate, Vermont, and died in Manchester, New Hampshire. She married William H. Foster, a carpenter, in Manchester in 1863. Foster worked as a housekeeper for Mary G. (Ayer) Gale, one of Mary Baker Eddy's first patients, and is buried in the Ayer family tomb.
