Maria A. Fogg (1833-1910) was born and died in Connecticut. She became
interested in Christian Science in 1886, writing to Mary Baker Eddy to order a copy of
Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. Her interest
in Christian Science continued and she attended classes given by Elizabeth G. Stuart,
who had studied with Mary Baker Eddy in the spring of 1881. By 1886 Stuart had resigned
from the Church of Christ (Scientist) and the Christian Scientist Association.
