Mary C. H. Fenn (b. Hall) (1833-1915) was born in Rutland, Vermont, and died in Chicago, Illinois. In 1867 in Rutland, she married Dr. Curtis T. Fenn, the year he graduated from Rush Medical College. The couple then moved to Chicago where her husband was practicing as a physician and later lectured in medicine. In 1886, Fenn wrote to Mary Baker Eddy that she wished to study Christian Science and asked for a recommendation for a teacher in Chicago. Fenn later wrote that she had decided to study with Hannah A. Larminie. She was a member of a Church of Christ, Scientist, in Chicago and was listed in The Christian Science Journal as a practitioner in Chicago from 1899 until 1914.
