Asa Eddy (1786-1863) was born in Warwick, Massachusetts, and died in
Londonderry, Vermont. He was a farmer and the father of Mary Baker Eddy's husband, Asa
Gilbert Eddy. In 1811, he married Betsey Smith, Asa Gilbert Eddy's mother, and they
moved from Warwick to Londonderry. He purchased the Eddy family farm in Londonderry in
1823, continuing to work the land until 1859, when he deeded the farm to Asa Gilbert
Eddy.
