Harriet E. Durant (b. Brown) (1848-1905) was born and died in Leominster, Massachusetts. In 1867, she married Charles W. Durant, who worked as a blacksmith and in carriage making and repair. In 1886, Durant wrote to Mary Baker Eddy to express gratitude for benefits received from reading Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures and to order the new edition.
