Benjamin J. Donaway (c.1847-c.1890) was born in Kentucky and died in an unknown location. In 1872, he married Charlotte Donaway (b. Hancock) in Vigo, Indiana. He was a carpenter. In 1886, Donaway wrote to Mary Baker Eddy to obtain a copy of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures and other literature.
