Augustus M. DeSouchet (1834-1904) was born in Mount Vernon, Indiana, and
died in Indianapolis, Indiana. In 1858, he married Cornelia DeSouchet (b. Thomas) and
the couple lived in Indianapolis. DeSouchet was an insurance and real estate agent, as
well as a steamboat captain. In 1886, he wrote to the Massachusetts Metaphysical College
to order a copy of
Science and Health with Key to the
Scriptures.
