Louis G. De Forest (1838-1870) was born and died in Cleveland, Ohio. He married Theresa Snydam in 1861. De Forest served as Captain of Company C of the 150th Regiment, Ohio Infantry during the American Civil War, and he later worked as a jewelry salesman.
