George W. Dean (c. 1850-1924) was born in New York and died in New London, Ohio. He purchased a flour milling business from Lewellyn T. Gilbert in New London in 1884 and later married Gilbert's daughter, Estelle R. Gilbert, in 1891. He wrote to Mary Baker Eddy in 1886, inquiring about a copy of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.
