Samuel B. G. Corser (1818-1903) was born in Loudon, New Hampshire, and
died in Boscawen, New Hampshire. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1841. He was a
farmer and the son of Enoch Corser, who was Mary Baker Eddy's pastor and teacher when
she was a child growing up in Sanbornton Bridge (now Tilton), New Hampshire. In a typed
statement made in 1902, Corser remembered Eddy fondly from his youth and stated that his
father had held her in the highest esteem. Corser was a Congregationalist.
