Silas M. Cornish (1820-1907) was born in Bangor, New York, and died in
Malone, New York. He made his career as a shoemaker and was a Mason. He married Margaret
Cornish (b. McDonald), also a shoemaker, in 1842. In 1886 Cornish's acquaintance, Lorain
H. Simmonds, wrote to Mary Baker Eddy to order a copy of
Science and
Health with Key to the Scriptures on his behalf.
